Jeter finishes track season

ZACH FREEMAN [email protected]

Last weekend, Azle High School senior Paisley Jeter placed third in the 100-meter dash at an area track meet and qualified for the April 18 regional meet at Plains Capital Park in Lubbock. At the April 18 regional competition Jeter would ultimately not qualify for state.

Jeter made the news earlier this year after beating the AHS all-time long jump record which was previously held by her mother. Jeter beat her mother's record by a quarter inch, but she would go on to beat the record again later in the season. Her best distance was 18 feet and 3 inches, nearly half a foot longer than her mom's initial record.
