Eagle Heights students lead pledges, exemplify excellence

Principal Shelley Newton introduced exemplary Eagle Heights students at the March 17 Azle Independent School District board of trustees meeting. Each month, a group is chosen from one of the eight local elementary schools to lead the pledge of allegiance to the United States and Texas flags. This group was selected by teachers for going above and beyond in their behavior and treatment towards others.

“Each of these students was nominated by the classroom teacher as the character strong student of the first semester,” Newton said. “In order to be nominated, students must exemplify the characteristics of being respectful, responsible, safe, a problem solver, and most of all, being kind. They are all wonderful role models on our campus.”
