May you continue to be a catalyst for good

It’s been a while since I wrote a newspaper opinion column. This one is penned for a great occasion: welcoming back locally-owned and directed newspapers to the communities of Azle and Springtown.

There will be no history lesson, I promise. But community newspapers are a tradition both Springtown and Azle have enjoyed not just for years, but for decades. In both, the newspaper’s focus has been not just been on these two cities, but on the school districts which are much larger than just the cities with which they share a name.
