AZLE — Two people sustained injuries and were transported to area hospitals Wednesday afternoon, March 5, following a two-vehicle collision that resulted in moderate damage to both vehicles. The cause of the accident is under investigation. The wreck occurred in the 1300 block of Northwest Parkway near Russell Feed and Supply at 6:09 p.m., Azle Fire Department Chief Will Scott reported.

Azle Police Department community liaison Leslie Dvorak reported a Chevrolet pickup truck collided with a Chevrolet Tahoe. The driver of the pickup was transport-ed to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Azle with non-life-threatening injuries and is under investigation for driving while intoxicated. Initial findings indicate alcohol and failure to control speed were the contributing factors.
