AZLE — The podcast and magazine Texas HS Football named the Azle High School Marching Green Pride the best band in Texas after receiving the final results from rounds of polling. While the October final results are not available to see online, the MGP had dominated the September semifinal rounds of voting at 32%. The Lake Belton Broncos, Walnut Grove Wildcats, Aledo Bearcats and Katy Tigers trailed behind.

Last year’s winner was the Melissa Cardinals Mighty Cardinal Ban.

The MGP will reportedly be presented with a trophy in Texas HS Football’s first-ever award show at the end of the season. They will also feature on their own episode of the Texas HS Football Podcast with Taylor Arenz. MGP Director Greg Davis did not respond to a request for comment by press deadline.
